45 SECONDS FROM BROADWAY
May 15 - June 9
By Neil Simon
A heart-warming comedy that takes us behind the scenes in the entertainment world, this time near the heart of New York City’s theatre district. The play takes place in the legendary "Polish Tea Room" on New York's 47th Street. Here, Broadway theatre personalities—both washed-up and on-the-rise—gather to schmooze even as they lose. This touching valentine to New York explores the foibles and the funny in the human comedy.
Directed by Paul R. Jones, “45 Seconds From Broadway” stars David King-Gabriel as comedian Mickey Fox, Roy Von Rains, Jr. as theatre producer Andrew Duncan, Rob Hirshboeck as Mickey’s brother Harry Fox, Steven Dominguez as African playwright Soloman Mantutu, Sarah Gore as budding actress Megan Woods, and Jack Seybold and Susan DuMond as the Polish Tea Room owners Bernie and Zelda. The cast features Brandy Carson and Grant Shepard as Tea Room Regulars Rayleen and Charles Browning, Jade Chavis Watt as actress Bessie James, and Linda Otto and Pam Ward as novice theatre critics Arleen and Cindy.
The production team for “45 Seconds From Broadway” includes Camelot’s resident designers: sound and audio/video designer Brian O’Connor, properties master Tyler Ward and set designer and master carpenter Don Zastoupil.
